Simon Wilkins is a friendly and approachable driving instructor with Nigel Richards Driving School, offering manual lessons with a focus on calm, confidence-building tuition. Known for creating a relaxed, supportive atmosphere in every lesson, Simon never shouts, always listens, and believes learning to drive should be an enjoyable, empowering experience.

Simon joined NRDS because he’s passionate about helping people—giving learners the freedom they deserve and guiding them toward a skill that changes lives. He thrives on meeting new people from all walks of life and values the flexibility that being an instructor offers.

When it comes to teaching, Simon strikes a balance between structure and fun. He believes a good lesson includes laughter, mutual respect, and a clear goal—ensuring his pupils feel safe, understood, and motivated throughout their journey.

Simon also appreciates the strong team spirit at NRDS. “I’ve met some great people,” he says. “Everyone helps each other out and I’ve even made a few new friends along the way.”

Outside of instructing, Simon enjoys fishing as a peaceful way to unwind and is also an active member of the Freemasons, where he values the tradition, community, and service to others.
